Cosmobet Cookie Policy
A clear explanation of every cookie Cosmobet uses, why we use it, how long it lives and how to change your preferences in seconds from the consent banner or your browser settings.
In short: Cosmobet uses a small set of strictly necessary, analytics and marketing cookies. Only the strictly necessary ones load by default; everything else waits for your explicit consent and can be turned off at any time.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your device to remember information between visits. Cookies do not run code, install software or read other files on your device. Most modern websites use them for sensible things such as keeping you logged in, remembering your language preference or measuring which pages are popular so the site can be improved. Cosmobet uses cookies for the same reasons, and nothing more.
The categories of cookies we use
Cosmobet groups cookies into three categories: strictly necessary, analytics and marketing. The strictly necessary category covers cookies without which the website simply cannot function – your login session, your CSRF protection token, your selected currency and your responsible-gambling preferences. These cookies load automatically on every visit because UK ePrivacy law allows them to do so without prior consent, and turning them off would break sign-in, deposits and withdrawals.
Analytics cookies help us understand how the site is used at an aggregated, anonymised level. We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation and advertising features disabled, plus a small set of first-party performance cookies that measure page load time, JavaScript errors and conversion paths. These cookies only load after you accept them in the consent banner. They do not identify you personally and we never sell or share the resulting data.
Marketing cookies allow Cosmobet and our advertising partners to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and to show you more relevant promotions on third-party platforms. They include the Meta pixel, Microsoft Advertising UET tag and a handful of affiliate tracking cookies that credit the partner who referred you. These cookies only load after explicit consent, and you can revoke that consent at any time from the cookie banner footer link.
How long cookies last
Session cookies are deleted automatically when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay on your device for a defined period that varies by purpose. Strictly necessary login cookies are kept for the length of your session plus a short refresh window. The Cosmobet cookie consent record itself is kept for twelve months so that we do not nag you on every visit. Analytics cookies are kept for between 24 hours and 26 months depending on the tool, with Google Analytics 4 defaults applied. Marketing cookies are typically kept between 30 and 90 days, depending on the partner's policy. No Cosmobet cookie is set to last longer than two years.
Managing your cookie preferences
You are in full control of every non-essential cookie at all times. The simplest place to change your mind is the Cosmobet cookie banner, which can be reopened at any moment using the "Cookie preferences" link in the website footer. From there you can toggle analytics and marketing cookies on or off individually, and the change takes effect on the next page load.
You can also manage cookies directly from your browser. Every major browser lets you view stored cookies, block third-party cookies, set the site to forget you on close and clear all cookies on demand. Specific instructions are available for Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and Microsoft Edge. Note that blocking all cookies including the strictly necessary set will prevent you from logging in.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Cosmobet honours Global Privacy Control signals where they are present. If your browser sends a GPC header, our consent system treats it as a refusal of analytics and marketing cookies and behaves as if you had opted out from the banner. We do not currently respond to the older "Do Not Track" header because the standard was never finalised and is not consistently respected across the web; GPC is its modern replacement.
Third-party cookies and embedded content
Some pages embed third-party content – for example, a YouTube video in a casino game review or a Twitter feed inside a tournament page. These third parties may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies, which Cosmobet does not control. We minimise this by using privacy-enhanced embeds wherever the provider supports them, and by loading embeds only after you accept marketing cookies.
Changes to this policy
If we add, remove or materially change the cookies we use, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date below will move. For significant changes – for example, adding a new analytics provider – we will also re-prompt the cookie banner so you can review your choices.
